Nantucket proposal, you say?
On my last trip to Massachusetts I stopped in many places. Boston, Cape Cod, detour to Rhode Island, Plymouth, Salem & of course Nantucket (My favorite place ever on the planet)
Instead of 1 day on the Island like last year, I opted for 3 whole days & 2 nights so I could spend more time and enjoy more time in this peaceful place. It was the weekend of Columbus day so the last crowd of the season was about to pack up (Until the return for stroll) It was a little more populated than last year when I visited.
I rode my bike most places, one being Steps Beach. I rode here every night to see the sunset (it never disappointed) and every night I brought my camera, just in case.
One night I was strolling along the beach looking through all the washed up sea shells (my favorite thing to do when I visit) when I came across this beautiful couple that just got engaged on the beach. Obviously, I ran up to them telling them I was a wedding photographer and asked them if I could snap some photos (Who doesn't love free photos) and I RAN down the beach back to my back to grab my camera and RAN back. These 2 were visiting from Connecticut and it was so sweet hearing their story of how long they've known each other & how they met. These are some of my favorite photos and so cherished that they were taken in one of my favorite places. A fall proposal on the beach on Nantucket at sunset???? I think they call that 'being in the right place at the right time'
